Children’s Ministry

Extra-5We place a high value on the lives of our children at Cedar Grove. That’s why we carefully and prayerfully design classes, programs, and events to help nurture our children’s faith in Jesus. Below are the different ways we seek to do just that.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday School
Sunday school takes place from 9:45-10:50am. Children in preschool through 5th grade have the opportunity to become a part of their own Sunday School class! Childcare is also available during this time for children 3 years old and younger in the upstairs Nursery.

Children’s Church
Cedar Grove offers K-3rd grade children the opportunity to join Children’s Church. Here they will study a story from the Bible, enjoy a snack and make a craft. It is a good time to get to know other children and work out some of those wigglies. Children’s Church takes place downstairs during our second worship service (11:00-12:00).

Wednesday Nights (6:30-8:00pm)

We provide children up to Preschool (3 years old and younger) with a fun, caring nursery environment where they can experience God’s love first hand through our volunteers. Once a child has reached pre-school – 1st grade, they graduate to an “Agents in Training” class. This class delves more into the Bible and encourages getting to know God’s Word. We play games, sing songs, make crafts and just enjoy learning together.

Children 2nd-5th become FBI Agents (Faithful Bible Investigators). They explore God’s word in depth, memorize scripture, sing songs and make crafts.

Special Events

  1. The Hallelujah Celebration
This is our church’s alternative to the traditional Halloween celebration. Church members dress as Bible characters and reserve a spot at the “Boo on the Square” in downtown Warsaw.
  1. Christmas Program
Every year our children put on a Christmas program. It is a great time to draw us back to the true reason for celebrating Christmas.
  1. Resurrection Celebration
This event is held the Saturday before Easter and it is a fun time for the whole family! We set up several stations where children learn more about the ultimate gift of Christ. There is food, fun, crafts, an Easter egg hunt, and lots of other things. It is a time that reminds us of the meaning of the season.
