Outreach

LOCAL OUTREACH
1. Christ’s Cupboard
On the first Thursday of each month our church holds a community food pantry. The items we give are ones which are not covered by local food stamps such as laundry detergent. In addition to trying to meet physical needs, we also begin with a 10-15 minute devotional where we lay out the gospel plainly and explicitly.

2.Quilts for Christ
Mission Statement – The Mission of Cedar Grove Baptist Church Quilts for Christ is to cover people with comfort, healing and God’s Love with quilts.

Our goal is to tangibly express the love of Christ by providing quilts to new babies, those who have had surgery & those who are in Hospice care, to name a few.

If you enjoy quilting or would like to learn, you’re welcome to join us!  The group meets each Tuesday at 10 a.m.

3. Crossroads Family Ministries
Crossroads is a Christ-centered crisis pregnancy center. They offer classes for young mothers on pregnancy, budgeting, parenting, etc. and give out much needed supplies such as diapers, formula, and cloths. Additionally, they also provide adoption counseling and keep a room of supplies for local foster parents. Most importantly, all the ministries of this center are motivated by and stem from the gospel. In this way, they not only want to help these ladies physically, but they hope that their hearts will be transformed through the saving power of Jesus.

4.If Not For Grace Ministries
If Not For Grace is a non-profit organization that ministers to men, women and families who have been wounded by abortion. They are in partnership with Crossroads Family Ministries.

3. Church Planting Partnerships
In June 2015 our church began partnering with The Bhutanese Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas.

In addition, we also recently partnered with Glen Higgins, a Warsaw native, who is planting a gospel-centered church in downtown Seattle.

It is our hope that these partnerships will grow, as together we seek to advance the gospel throughout the world.
