Youth ministry exists to SUPPORT parents in discipling middle and high school students as they seek to understand WHO God is, WHY the Bible matters, and HOW that affects our lives. Below are a few of the ways we seek to do just that.
Sunday Mornings
We offer programming for teens during the Sunday school hour and are excited for them to join us for worship at 8:30am or 11am. In addition, we would love for your teen to be involved in the nursery or Children’s worship at times if that is something they are interested in and feel called to do.
First Service – 8:30am
Our “Classic” worship service is at 8:30am every Sunday, and we would love for you and your family to join us. During this service, families are able to worship all together.
Other opportunities for your teen to be more involved in the service could potentially include running slides, partnering with our Youth and Children’s Director to lead a Children’s Sermon, and assisting in the nursery. These are not meant to replace worship and will not be available to your teen every week. However, we would love the opportunity to serve alongside your teen as they begin to explore what it means to be an active member of the church body. Connect with our Youth and Children’s Director, Lora Joy, for more information on getting involved.
Sunday School – 9:45am
Our middle and high school students meet upstairs for Sunday School. The stairs are located just down the ramp outside the sanctuary. While with us, we will dig deeper into what the Bible says, and how everything that is written there, even in the Old Testament, directly affects us as believers today. After Sunday School, your teen will join up with you either in Faith Hall or in the sanctuary if you are staying for our “Refresh” service.
Second Service – 11:00am
Our “Refresh” service is at 11am every Sunday, and is designed to provide specific opportunities for every age to grow in their faith. While our kids leave the service to explore the Bible with leaders, teens and adults stay in the sanctuary to learn and grow with our pastor.
If your teen has a heart for kids or serving, we would love to get them plugged into our worship service or children’s ministry. These opportunities are not meant to replace worshiping with your family every week. However, we would love the opportunity to serve alongside your teen as they explore ways to be an active member of the church body. Serving options include running slides, manning the camera for our livestream, assisting with Children’s Worship downstairs, and assisting in the nursery. Connect with our Youth and Children’s Director, Lora Joy, for more information on getting involved.
Wednesday Evening
We offer a small group Bible study hour from 7pm-8pm, and, through the end of May, we will have a free meal from 6:15-7pm that we would love for you and your family to join us for.
Our middle and high school students meet upstairs in Faith Hall for Bible study. The stairs are located by the ramp just outside the sanctuary. While with us, we will take the opportunity to build intentional relationship with each teen and encourage their questions as we work together to find answers to difficult questions and gain a better understanding of God’s plan for our lives. After Bible study, your teen will meet you in Faith Hall.
Upcoming Events
February 22nd, 6th-12th graders will meet at Cedar Grove and ride in the church van to 3 different homes where we will gradually consume a 3 course meal. At each stop, we will get to visit with our hosts as well as continue our study of praying as spiritual warfare.

In March, 6th-12th graders will be headed to Branson, Missouri for Young Christians Weekend at Silver Dollar City. We will attend several workshops, worship alongside thousands of other teenagers and young adults, spend time in Bible study and praying over each other, and, of course, ride lots of roller coasters (or lots of shopping). The trip cost covers food, transportation, lodging, conference and park admission, and some snacks. If your student would like to earn money toward the cost of the trip, reach out to Lora Joy. In-park purchases are the responsibility of the student, though.
