During Wednesday night Bible study hour (7pm-8pm), our Pre-K – 5th graders will make Valentines the fire department in Warsaw. February 11th (also at 7pm), we will deliver them. We will take the church van and parents/guardians are encouraged to join us. If your child needs a carseat or booster seat, please reach out to Lora Joy about a time to get that installed.
February 22nd, 6th-12th graders will meet at Cedar Grove and ride in the church van to 3 different homes where we will gradually consume a 3 course meal. At each stop, we will get to visit with our hosts as well as continue our study of praying as spiritual warfare.
Saturday, March 7th from 1pm-4pm, 3rd-5th graders are invited to Lora Joy’s house for a game day. We will pull out all kinds of card and board games, the wii, and, if the weather cooperates, play some disc golf and/or pickleball as well. There will also be plenty of snacks and drinks to keep us fueled. If you need the address, you can text Lora or ask her when you see her on Sundays or Wednesdays.
In March, 6th-12th graders will be headed to Branson, Missouri for Young Christians Weekend at Silver Dollar City. We will attend several workshops, worship alongside thousands of other teenagers and young adults, spend time in Bible study and praying over each other, and, of course, ride lots of roller coasters (and/or lots of shopping). The trip cost covers food, transportation, lodging, conference, park admission, and some snacks. If your student would like to earn money toward the cost of the trip, reach out to Lora Joy. In-park purchases are the responsibility of the student, though.
